About

Relax and enjoy a romantic and leisurely trip to three of Europe’s fascinating imperial jewels. Start in Salzburg, Mozart’s birthplace and former home of the singing Von Trapp Family, on to romantic Vienna to see the opulence of Schonbrunn Palace, and finally, Budapest in medieval Bratislava where spas are in abundance and where Lake Balaton and its volcanic hills produce lovely mineralic wines from small family-operated cellars. This is a tour for the romantic at heart.

You should experience it because...

Lake Balaton is affectionately known as the ‘Hungarian Sea’ and is surrounded by beautiful vineyards that overlook the lake. You can enjoy sunbathing by the lake or take a stroll in the countryside that is full of Rolling Meadows of wildflowers, winding streams, tiny villages and patches of vineyards – romance at its best.

Mountains & lakes, spas & wine:

Enjoy the crisp and aromatic white wines from the Balat on Lake Area of Hungary. This is home to the indigenous grape called ‘keknyelu’ that has been resurrected by a few dedicated winemakers here.

Visit a local organic farm near Salzburg whilst enjoying a traditional feast of local dishes and wine.

Take a guided coach tour out to the pretty mountainside village of Mondsee near Salzburg and see the wedding church from the ‘Sound of Music’
