  • 1 Zurich – Interlaken A short drive from Zurich takes you to the city of Lucerne, here you can visit the Lion Monument and walk over the 14thcentury wooden bridge – one of the oldest in Europe. Spend some time shopping and sightseeing. On to the mountain resort of Engelberg where a cable car ride will take you to the summit of Mount Titlis high up in the high alpine region with its glaciers and eternal ice. Enjoy a magnificent ride in the world’s innovative revolving ‘Rotair’ gondola. In the afternoon, cross Brunig Pass to the Bernese Oberland and the village of Brienz where you can see woodcarvers at work. Continue to Interlaken at the foot of the majestic Jungfrau Mountains.
  • 2 Interlaken, sightseeing and attractions Arrive at Interlaken set in the magnificent Jungrau mountain region of Switzerland. The scenery here is dazzling with the pearly white snow-capped mountains of the Eiger, the Monch and Jungfrau and the glittering lakes of Thun and Brienz. If you have time on your first day, drop in to the Tourist Museum that outlines the history of the region with costumes, carriages and other curios.
  • 3 Interlaken – Berne – Gruyeres – Geneva Depart Interlaken in the morning and drive along the beautiful Lake of Thun to the Swiss capital, Berne. The city is attractively set on asteep-sided curve of the River Aare and backed by the majestic Alps. A city tour to the Old Town includes the Clock Tower, Kramgasse, and the 15thcentury Cathedral of St. Vincent. A drive south takes us to the scenic dairy farmlands, to Gruyeres. A beautiful hilltop town, preserved against time, and set in a world of fairytales with its impressive, medieval castle. Enjoy a visit to a milk products factory and see how the wonderful Swiss yoghurts and dairy products are made. Continue to the Vaud Riviera on to Geneva, the most cosmopolitan city of Switzerland.
  • 4 Geneva – Castle Chillon – Monteux Start the day with a city tour that takes in the beautiful parks along the lake, the old town with its cathedral, the unique Town Hall and the European seat of the United Nations. Late morning, leave Geneva and drive to Lausanne and Monteux. Pass by Chillon Castle, the 13thcentury fortress made famous by Lord Byron’s poem (there is time to visit the castle tomorrow). In the afternoon, proceed through the Valais, the valley of the river Rhone, with its orchards and vineyards. At Tasch, hop on board a cogwheel train to take you to the mountain resort of Zermatt at the foot of the mighty Matterhorn. Back to Monteux for an overnight stay.
  • 5 Monteux, sightseeing and attractions This wonderful lakeside resort has been attracting artists, writers and musicians for years. Monteux has its own mild microclimate – perfect for peaceful walks along a pretty lakeshore that is dotted with elegant 19th century hotels, and strolls through an ancient hilltop Old Town. Visit the Chateau de Chillon on the lakeside, an unusual oval-shaped castle that was so loved by Lord Byron, and learn about the town’s local history at the Musee de Monteux. Place fresh flowers at the feet of the statue of Freddie Mercury that’s located in front of Monteux’s old covered market on the waterfront.
  • 6&7 St. Moritz, sightseeing and attractions St. Moritz is Switzerland’s original winter wonderland and the cradle of Alpine tourism – it has been luring royals and celebrities since 1864. You will be taken in by its shimmering aquamarine lake, its emerald forests, and its aloof mountains. Stroll around the town and visit the Engadiner Museum, a reproduction of the traditional sgraffitied home the museum has displays of furniture, tools and pottery in rooms that are decorated in styles from different periods.
  • 8 St. Moritz – Liechtenstein - Zurich Depart St. Moritz in the morning and cross the Fluela Pass to reach Davos. In the capital of Principality of Liechtenstein, Vaduz, there will be time for lunch and for sightseeing. This tiny country with the mighty castle, which is the home of the present Prince and his family, attracts visitors from all over the world. In the afternoon, return to Zurich through the Toggenburg region with its pretty and picturesque farmhouses. There’s plenty of time for getting to know Zurich - from impressive churches to awesome art collections, the city has much to offer culture vultures. The Great Church is a 12th century structure with 18th century updates the core spans the Carolingian to Gothic styles with one modern touchGiacometti’s stained-glass window. The Stiftung Sammiung E.G Buhrie has a stunning array of Manets, Monets, and more (appointments only). And Zurich is a shopper’s paradise walk along the Bahnhofstrasse for high-end boutiques, or head for Niederdorf for the more trendy shops
